每年的10月24日是联合国日(United Nations Day)。这是1947年联合国大会为纪念《联合国宪章》正式生效和联合国正式成立而确定的节日。主题为维持国际和平与安全，发展国际间友好关系，促进经济、社会、文化及人类福利等方面的国际合作。
Every October 24th, the world celebrates United Nations Day. United Nations Day established by the UN General Assembly in 1947 to commemorate the official entry into force of the UN Charter and the formal establishment of the UN. The theme is to maintain international peace and security, develop international relations, and promote international cooperation in economic, social, cultural, and human welfare.
为让宝贝在亲身感受互动的过程中，乐享文化盛宴。美华幼儿园在10月24日当天，举行了盛大的“国际文化节”活动，学校外教带领宝贝们领略异国风情文化、欣赏异国服饰、品尝异国美食，共同感受地球村大家庭的美好。
On October 24th, Meihua Kindergarten held its first annual “International Day”. The school’s foreign teachers helped students experience culture, appreciate costumes, taste food, and feel the acceptance of a global family.
每位宝贝都穿上不同国家及民族的服饰，盛装出席，一起来欢度这个节日。有苏格兰服装、澳大利亚服装、阿拉伯服装、越南服装、韩国服装……每一处都是绚丽的风景线。
Each student wore outfits from different countries to celebrate the festival. There were traditional costumes from Scotland, Australia, the Middle East, Vietnam, and Korea to name a few, all showcasing the world’s beautiful cultural landscapes.
上午9:30分，美华幼儿园“国际文化节”在宝贝们的走秀中正式开启了，不同服装代表了不同国家，更能展现这个国家的文化与习俗。瞧，我们的宝贝是不是都很棒呢!
At 9:30 in the morning, Meihua Kindergarten’s “International Day” officially began with a student parade. Student’s walked on stage and demonstrated, not only their fashion sense, but their own personalities! Isn’t that great?
Lynda老师为小朋友们展示世界地图，世界地图不仅可以帮助我们庆祝，而且可以了解世界上许多奇妙事物的由来，比如食物、衣服和舞蹈。
Teacher Lynda showed students a map of the world too. Not only did it help us celebrate, but to understand the origins of so many wonderful things in the world.
国际节现场
Luigi老师和小朋友们分享了他最喜欢的时尚单品：帽子。宝贝们戴上不同国家的帽子，很酷炫哦!
Teacher Luigi and his children shared his favorite fashion item: the hat. Students excitedly tried on hats from different countries, and enjoyed a good laugh! It was all good fun!
Jessica老师为小朋友们介绍了来自世界各地的美食：韩国美食、菲律宾美食等等，宝贝们看得都垂涎欲滴了!
Next, Teacher Jessica introduced food from all over the world: Korean food, Filipino cuisine, and so on. There was so much you could see the students’ mouths watering!
欣赏完不同国家的服饰和美食，就有请小朋友们为不同国家的国旗涂色，宝贝们认真地样子真可爱!
All of these festivities culminated into a flag decoration activity, where teachers asked students to colour flags from all around the world in anticipation of hanging them in our auditorium. The kids happily obliged us, and goodness was it cute!
接下来，一顿丰盛的体现异国风味的自助午餐已经准备好，让我们用照片来回顾宝贝们的幸福瞬间吧!重点敲一敲，我们的宝贝们都是自己排队取餐呢，礼仪习惯棒棒哒!
At lunch, a sumptuous buffet lunch was served. So much so, that just looking at the photos will make you hungry! Not only will you be impressed by the food, but by our students’ etiquette, as they politely lined up for their share. We’re all so proud.
下午的主题活动是舞蹈的盛宴哦!首先由Jennifer老师带来了动感的拉美舞蹈;接着，Lynda老师为小朋友们带来了南非的舞蹈Jan Pierewiet;Jessica老师为小朋友们带来了菲律宾的Tinikling，小朋友们全场嗨翻天了。
The final event in the afternoon was a dance! First, a dynamic Latin dance was taught by Teacher Jennifer. After, Teacher Lynda taught everyone the South African dance Jan Pierewiet.

Finally, Teacher Jessica brought Tinikling of the Philippines to the floor, and had students come on stage to dance along.
